On the ground effort is a huge part of the research we do and provides the critical basis for projects in the future. I lead an active field program throughout Central America and Mexico, working on various projects with collaborators and students. I have participated in over 25 expeditions to the Neotropics, with current work primarily focused in Guatemala and El Salvador.
